Ultrawide screen fix does still work today

I found a link to this on here and just tried it. It appears to work perfectly. Easy to do. Just go down the page a bit until you come to 'ultra-widescreen.

Removing the black bars was pretty straight forward but I am having trouble locating the correct hex value for my FOV. My aspect ratio is 21:9 @ 3440x1440p.

What would be game's default FOV for my resultion?

This on that web page worked perfectly for me. The part just above this worked for removing the black bars. So here it is:

"Search for 35 FA 0E 3C A4, and replace with 35 FA 3E 3C A4 for ultra-widescreen or EF D4 83 3C A4 for multi-monitor resolutions to change the FOV."

I too have 3440 x 1400 res. Mine is perfect. It looks like it was supposed to be this way. I dont see any stretching or distortion, Its very nice.

I did all that and the screen was too zoomed out for me. I found another thread that offered a value slightly more zoomed in 35 FA 2E 3C A4.

It is all good now.

Oh, ok. The one I linked looks great to me. I guess you like it not so wide. Everyone is different.

I have to agree, 2E looks way better than 3E. 3E feels really unnatural and weird, kinda like when you turn the FOV to max in Minecraft (I mean that it looks similar to 3E)
