Multiplayer not working for me and my friend!

Greetings!

One of my friends is going to start playing Code Vein and I want to join him, but whenever we try to play multiplayer, we don't get any distress signal from either of us! We're both at the Ruined City Undergroun, and we've even set the same region but no avail, we just don't find any signal.

Can someone explain to me what we're doing wrong? Cause I've tried answering my friend's signal with both my lvl 150 character and a freshly new one and nothing seems to work.

Try making sure you have Steam region configured to be the same is one of the more prominent issues.

While step #6 about the codes and gifts is annoying sounding its true so its actually something to consider, too.

Here, a simplified guide into playing with friends, whether it be cross-country or not:
1. Start your game in Online mode, and load up your character
2. Open the Multiplayer tab in your inventory
3. Go into the settings for multiplayer and set a password, then tell this password to your friend hand have them do the same steps
IF CROSS-COUNTRY: Toggle the matchmaking region to be world wide.
Once this has been done, you should be good to go! Just make sure you are both in the same area
