What weapons work well with eachother?

Are you referring to the two weapon slots you can switch between? Honestly, I don't think there's any synergy other than switching weapons for different purposes - aka, using certain weapons for certain enemies, using a bayonet for ranged attacks, having a secondary weapon with a certain element or effect that makes it better for certain situations, etc. The priority is using the weapons that work well with your blood code and your equipped skills. In all honesty, you could just not use the second weapon slot and the game would barely feel more difficult. I would consider it more of a quality of life option as you can even switch weapons at any point from inventory regardless (albeit a bit more difficult in combat).

Well, the way I do it is combine one-handed sword or halberds with bayonets (as my secondary weapon) and for the skill, I will usually have at least 3 skills like Phantom Assault (that can be used by 1h sword, halberds and bayonets).
The primarily wespon (a.i. h1 swords and halberdsl) are for melee combat while secondary (the bayonets) are for ranged. Said, I was to get rid of an enemy that is hanging by the ledge, I will switch and shoot at it, if I have the ichor, that is.

okay thanks! I'm new to code vein so I didn't know if having certain weapons or more than one weapon was crucial or not. so this helped. I come from playing, bloodborne, dark souls and elden ring

As they said quality of life. Like if you want a ranged backup option or something. Tbh, I never found myself using my secondary in this game as a single weapon almost always fits all situations or you use magic which is based on level/veil and not weapon (and to give reference this wasn't unoptimized play as in Dark Souls and Elden Ring I very frequently swap weapons per appropriate optimized situation, just wasn't necessary here).
