Fanatical key revoked

Anyone else just have this happen? Fanatical is a reputable site, unsure why the devs would do this.

If its a key site it probably wasn't the dev. Most likely it was an already used key that was sold to you and you got burned. I'd check the site and see if they can provide a new key or refund, otherwise this is the risk you take with those key sites. Often these keys are sold to multiple parties for resell or acquired via illegal activity like stolen credit cards hence the risks.

I was not familiar with Fanatical and gave a general response. Looking online it looks like it could be legit though they've had some controversies. From looking online it seems you should probably contact them and report your issue and see if they can get you a new key, or literally just leave a bad review of your issue if customer support does not get back to you and that will apparently quickly get someone to help you (lol, its apparently a thing with them).

Based on Steam's FAQ the short answer is its almost certain something was wrong with that key which is Fanatical's fault and not the devs though in this case its hard to say how this got messed up.

In fact, I could only find a single search result of another key being revoked from a shady 3rd party key reseller so it doesn't seem to be an established action by the dev for this title. Thus your best bet is to try reaching out to Fanatical.

Fanatical is legit, used to be called bundle stars. Bought plenty from there ( mostly those useless mystery bundles )

Yeah. I contacted Fanatical first thing. They're following up with Bandai. I just figure that it must have happened to other people, and someone would know what was going on.

Indeed. After getting the message from Steam saying my key was revoked, it seems to have been...unrevoked without any notification. I guess all's well that ends well, but it seems really weird that this didn't happen to anyone else. Just...strange.

Indeed, never hurts to at least ask so I get you. Glad to see you got the game. Odd situation it got unrevoked on its own.
