RNG gear like Nioh and Borderlands?

I kinda wanna play this game but I am scared it will be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rng hell "souls like" like Nioh where RNG can screw you up instead of being a skillful game like the real Dark Souls.

RNG drops for weapons are nearly non-existent. Enemies do *sometimes* drop their weapons, but those are encountered so often, and it seems like a 33% to 50% chance to drop anyway, so it never really becomes a concern. Boss drops are always 100%. Armors are always 100% (usually found in chests).

Are the weapons and armors the same like in dark souks or is there that stupid rng thing like in Diablo, Nioh and Borderlands?

There's no RNG with the armor/weapon stats at all if that's what you mean. The only difference is armors/weapons go from +0 to +10, and you can apply a different transformation to them which alters the stats. It's all your choice.

It works like Dark Souls, except that if you find an armor piece you can buy alternative versions (changes looks only) at the vendor at home base. Some enemies can drop their weapons as Esira stated.

Bosses will also drop specific items and you can 'buy' your companions' signature weapon via gifting as well. But nothing like borderlands or Nioh.

oh yea dark souls 1 is very skill full game where you never dying by game design ( bed of chaos , tomb of giant ) and obvious it has nothing to do with rng not like it odesnt depend completly from luck are you gona get black knight weapons or not right? NO NO its not in dark souls at all

First of all U never mention grinding and there is barely any luck with that boss

This game is not hell.. It's actually pretty fun and enjoyable. It's not frustrating, is not unfair, You can buy any armor/weapons from the girl at your home base and even get the weapons of your friends, with very little effort.

For the weapons, it's really simple, Pick a build and get the best weapon for that. I went two handed, and i got the best weapon in the game i think in the second area of the game.. The weapon has a level system, up to level 10. So, It will always be the best weapon for every area, when you feel is losing the power, just upgrade it. There isnt even need for grinding (probably) I didn't grind for any material.. It only ask one type of material + "money", which you will have enough..

If for some reason you missed a weapon/Armor, you can just teleport back to the area where the weapon should be, and grab it.

Having said all of that, NO, the game is not necessarily easy or a walk in the park, some enemies are strong and the bosses are pretty rough and violent too, You will die if you go with a partner, if you go solo, you will be butchered, but it's FUN as long as the respawn point is not 1000 miles away..
