Do you automatically start a new game after killing the final boss?

I'm going for the bad ending. After I kill the final boss, will I be automatically transported to a new game?

No, after the credits you'll be back at the main menu, when you load your game you'll be back at the mistle before the last boss and you can go clean up whatever you want before starting your new game+. At the base you'll see a blue sparkle on the door behind the mistle, that's how you enter NG+. You'll be asked if you want to enhance the difficulty of enemies. If you want to just steamroll the game you can say no and you'll get NG+ with NG level enemies. If you say yes, you can change the difficulty back if you want, but you can't raise it again until you finish the game.
