PC Crashed Now Game Won't Load
I have tried to reinstall the game three times, updated my graphics drivers, looked at my firewall, looked at my antivirus, made sure Discord was closed, and even followed the steps on an IT page, which I'll list below... to try to get the game to work again. I even deleted the old Code Vein Folder with the old game save and reinstalled it. I don't know whether the cloud file is the problem or what. It was playing just fine for 9 hours, before the game stopped working. Anyone have any ideas on what to do to make it work again? BTW I run my games from a Dell Laptop. (Still wondering what to do? If anyone has an Idea, I'd appreciate it.)

How to Fix Launch, Crash Issues on Code Vein
Method #1
If you are using an up-to-date graphics driver, you should completely uninstall graphics driver using DDU.
Then, install the previous graphics driver. Version: 419.67 For NVIDIA. For AMD. I’m not sure about AMD drivers, maybe you should wait for a new driver to come out.
Restart your computer.

Method #2
Navigate to Steam > SteamApps > Code Vein > Engine > Extras > Redist > en-us
Run the the UE4 Prerequisite package. Reinstall or repair.

Method #3
Verify your game files. Go to the Steam library
Right-click on the Code Vein, go to Properties.
On the LOCAL FILES tab, press the VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES button.

Method #4
You should unblock the CodeVein-Win64-Shipping.exe in your Firewall
Open the Windows Security
Go to Firewall & network protection
Click on Allow an app through the firewall
Click on the “Change settings” button
Click the “Allow another app…” button.
Click on the Browse…
Select the CodeVein-Win64-Shipping.exe application ( Location > …\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\CodeVein\Binaries\Win64\ )
Add an exception PRIVATE and PUBLIC
Finally, click the OK.
Try the game.
If you have a different Antivirus/Antimalware software, you should exclude the CodeVein-Win64-Shipping.exe through your Antivirus software.
Especially, if you are using Avira, uninstall it and try to launch game.

Method #5
Go to the list of games in the Steam library.
Right-click the Code Vein and click the Properties.
Click the Set Launch Options in the General tab.
Type the following commands into the space in the incoming window.
-high -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -NOTEXTURESTREAMING

Method #6
Go to the folder where the game is installed.
Right-click on the CodeVein-Win64-Shipping.exe application in the Win64 folder.
Location: …\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\CodeVein\Binaries\Win64\
Click on the Properties
Go to the Compatibility tab
Tick the “Run this program as administrator” and “Disable full-screen optimizations”
Click on the OK

Method #7
Try to exit programs such as RTSS Rivatuner Statistics Server, MSI Afterburner, Skype, Discord, Team Speak, Keyboard&Mouse software. Those programs can prevent Code Vein’s launching.

Method #8
Especially if the Code Vein crashes at startup, you should to change your sound card’s output quality.
Right-click the Speakers icon on the bottom right.
Select the Sounds
Go to the Playback tab.
Select your default Speaker
Click on the Properties button.
Go to the Advanced tab.
Change the Default Format. For example, you can set the 32 bit 192000 Hz
Apply the changes and try to run the Code Vein.

Method #9
If you tried everything above, just reinstall the game.

I have tried all of the above, including reinstalling the game multiple times. >.> What am I doing wrong?

When you say the game won't load, do you mean the whole game, or just the save? If you haven't already, I think you can disable cloud save in the game's settings to check if the cloud file is related to your issue. And when your PC crashed, did the game crash first and give you a crash log? If possible, I'd get it to work again by making everything the same as it was when it was working before, and then figure out which change caused the issue by making slight adjustments and checking.

o.o; I posted this ages ago. I finally got this to working, but none of those methods worked. I found that one part of the game wouldn't authorize properly, which means I have to reauthorize it every time I load the game. What I mean by that is, using the Task Manager, I have to right click and authorize as admin. I'm not sure whether it is a bug in the computer or what. I mean I posted this in 2021 and it's 2023 now.

what you have to do is go into the files where the game is installed, and manually : go to the properties of each files,
Make sure in General tab all are Unblocked
and all have admin privilege << this one is optional given that the files were primarily blocked to begin with

None of these work... a game like this should never be on sale if it's broken.

Hey there. Those were the only options I found, at the time. I would keep searching the web for more assistance. I also didn't have the ability to ask Steam Support, when I made this original post. Maybe they can walk you through what to do for your specific computer. It seems a bit temperamental with laptops, but that's just me.
