Does the game let you quit anytime?

I have young kids, so a pause option is very important when choosing a game. Dark Souls manages to work around this by letting you quit anywhere, and when you reload you'll be right where you were (except during boss fights, then you're outside the fog door).

I know this game does not have a pause feature, but if you quit, will it remember where you were or send you to the beginning of the level/mission/whatever they have?

no you have saved at significent chekpoints but other than that. You have to save at a "bonfire" before quitting the game.

The auto-save is spotty in Code Vein. I've lost some progress a couple times when quitting from the menu so I make sure to quit only from a mistle (the bonfire equivalent).

But, the game doesn't have invasions, you can just park your character somewhere and go afk.

OMG you're right! It can even pause in the middle of combat!

Thank you Psycho Al, now I have another game to play while I ignore my kids.
