I dont understand why people like yakumo

He is the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless ally in a battle. All i ever see when i decide to use him is him either walking in place, dying imediatly to a boss, falling off the map and watching me roll when i have 8 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enemies on me because he caught the attention of an enemy that calls more.

Are you trying other companions and are they consistently performing better than Yakumo? He and Io are generally considered to have the best AI in the game.

I don't understand your reply. You could mean a few things.
1. You don't use a partner normally. But when you do, you use Yakumo and he sucks
2. You use partners, but Yakumo is a weak choice.

Look at your phrasing carefully. You're a lot more vague than you think you are.

Anyways, it's unfortunate that Yakumo isn't working out for you. A lot of people consider him to be the game's "easy mode". He has been known to straight up solo some of the bosses in the game. But nobody is forcing you to use him. I think Mia is one of the worst, but some people swear by her. I just decide to not use her.

While Yakumo may not be the best fighter for every boss, he was the one that worked with my fighting style the best and I ended up using him more than any other partner. I like using the bayonet weapon so that I could shoot enemies from afar, and that required having someone in front of me to keep the enemies away from me. Yakumo hits hard and seemed to tank well enough.

Also he is hot! <3

Used Yakumo for the entire game except for the time I used Mia on the ice level. He is a damage sponge that hits everything in his path and tends to stay alive longer than anyone else. Why would you not?

Why people like Yakumo:
- He can tank
- He can stagger and knockback mobs.
- He gives you a barrier.
- He hits hard.
- He is better than most companions at late game, NG+
- He is a good companion to use early game until you get Restored Io.

If you have a bad experience with him, I guess you're just unfortunate. Most other companions I work with aside from Io would just die.
