For Christmas I'm scheduled to get an all new high performance top of the line laptop PC that has a 512GB solid state drive built inside of the laptop from which I'll run this game on in December soon as well as various other PC games and exactly how many PC games can be installed onto a 512GB solid state drive actually?, and the laptop will be used for PC gaming mostly.

I'm not going to give you the answer, but what I will do is give you the tools to answer it for yourself. The average game is between 15-75GiB ... You will have around 470GiB left give or take once formatted and Windows is installed on your drive...

So now I leave you to do your calculations. :)

I recommend getting an external 2TB HDD/SSD or something similar in size, then install games on that instead of your in-built SSD to save space, because 512 GB for a gaming laptop isn't that great.

Kind of hard to answer since it depends on what kind of games you want to play mostly. There are games of all sorts of varying sizes, typically anywhere from 12-50GB (at least from the games I have) or more. To be frank, 512gb isn't bad, but it's not great either, you can have at most a dozen or so games installed at any one time, but you will have to be conscious about your Hard Drive space

Like the comment above mines said, I'd also recommend an external hard drive for games. I have Windows installed on a 250gb SSD and a 1TB HDD for gaming, works just fine for me.

Code Vein, Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, GreedFall, the upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077, Dark Souls III, and a few other games will be installed on the new laptop basicly.

For SSD to have high performance you need to keep 20-30% empty. Another 5-10% usually for system. 10% for downloading stuff, or whatever the bs you want aka corn.
So you have around 50-60% of free space for gaming left. Thats about 5 games with 50gb each.
It should be fine as long as you finish game, delete it and never come back again. If you want to play whenever you want get external storage or upgrade it.

1 tb is more than enough for a casual gamer who installs games after finishing and uninstalling previous ones. For me I installed 5-10 games and my 1 tb was reduced to half, ie destiny 2, GOW 4, FF 15, Mafia 3, Gears 5, Man of medan, Greedfall, Metro Exodus, Hitman 2 both seasons etc. 12 years back even 10 games would have taken only around 100gb, now only 5 games take 500gb..
