DLC Combo master tips

Howdy~!

I was wondering if any of you could give me a few tips of how to get that... how to call it? Achievement? Challenge? Trophy? You know, the thing in the DLC that says "land 30 hits without getting hit". I actually managed to do that with the fire and ice boss but the thunder one just moves too fast, I always get hit by surprise around hit 20 using the bayonett.

Thunder boss is really easy to stagger so maybe a combo with close combat is easier. I did it with 1H sword

And who was your partner? I dont know I even started to cheese it a little by just shooting from a distance, but that doesnt really work. With a 1H I run out of stamina way too fast, then I am unable to dodge.

1h sword + red shoes + spam away

you can snap on top some ichor max/drain enhancement + shifting hollow for extra layer of grease;)

Ability from Fionn that allows to use health instead of stamina in 1to1 ratio. Basically infinite stamina for pretty long period of time.

The ability is only available when using Fionn though.

Ah I see, I just hope I can actually get enough hits in to actually stagger him

Wellp it seems impossible, at least for me. Dont know why since I was doing pretty well against the others, didnt even take long, heck Ive beaten the thunder boss several times already, but this hitting 30 times and not getting hit = Impossible to me for some reason.

Practice makes it perfect, learn his moves and you will get it eventually. I got it automatically during the pipe challenge, just popped up at some point.

Also call for AI-carry if nothing else works.

Lol about that... speak of the devil I JUST beat that one hehe. So happy. Alas I must ask... how the heck are you beating anyone with just the pipe? No less without dying? I guess its not really impossible, but frustrating as hell isnt it? I just read that you cant even be hit once.

Well, I eventually cheesed it with Mia buff + spells + blood sacrifice. I tried some honest builds first but those occasional chip damage from AOE would get me every time.

It is very easy actually with the cheese build. In my case he died in something like a minute and I did not land a single melee hit on him getting all my ichor to spam spells from the blood sacrifice (combined with ability that restores part of lost health over time of course).

A guy even showed later you can stunlock him to death with very similar setup by using spells that are really fast to spam. This way does not require any effort at all;) I mean he simply is down the whole time from beginning to dead. Guy name is "Noco" I think, he was posting it on the forums.

Eh I think Im good, got all the outfits, weapons and costumes, aswell as abilities... I think I can let the DLCs die now lol. Buuuuut maybe I will have a little look for said forum entry of his, just out of curiosity :)

Step 1) Cast Dancing Fireblade from Surt Blood Code
Step 2) Stand next to a boss.
Step 3) Hi, you just did a bajilion hits.

Actually, Homing Hellfire (also from Surt) works even better.

As for the pipe, the easiest way is to just make a caster build. You can't make the pipe deal good damage, no matter how much you try, but spells do damage based on Blood veils, not weapons. Another upside is that you can damage from range when your partner has aggroo, meaning you also are at less risk of taking damage.
To fuel your spells you use Blood Sacrefice (Hunter) in combination with an (extended) Cleansing Light to minimise HP loss. You can also use one of the new gifts from Lord of Thunder that regens Ichor over time.
After that, equip 2 or 3 damaging spells of the element the enemy is weak too. Fire boss is weak to lightning, ice boss is weak to fire, lightning boss is weak to ice.

The easy way... Slot in 3 barrages and use the active 'gift prowess'. Let the boss aggro onto your companion, get close to the boss and fire away. It only takes 4 in your face barrages and you have in excess of 30 hits.
