Blade Bearer and Cannoneer Lv1 / No heal, Need tips.
So, as the title sugggest, i don't have the patience to know how to beat these guys, after 45 tries and only 1/4 Hp dealt to Ice lady, i've had enough, i would like some tips, My run only use Bayonet ( with Gift ) but i don't use any healing Gift.

I'm on a Draining Build, and i try to thunder sphere her when i got an opening, but the flames dude just hit so fast and feels so random, Stamina management is hard as hell too.
I'm using Mia's Blood code with the basic Bayonet ( Draining version )

The few tips i can get from videos is to unlock camera and maybe play poison ?

Here's my build

I assume you are doing a solo run. I am not sure what to advise, as i can't not get hit in that boss battle.

-Try using the pillars, they block the Cannoneer's fire ball attack but not the ground fire attack (you need to dodge it).

-Don't engage with Blade Bearer for too long, you can parry her (when she is using that multi-hit horizontal slashes) to have a short window and do like a short 2 or 3 attacks (watch out for the ground fire) to gain ichor or something. If you aren't good with parry, there is a short delay between her mult-hit slashes where you can throw in 1 attack with a fast weapon.

-It is a little safer to parry and attack Blade at the corners with the pillar between you and Cannoneer, as you just need to watch out for the ground fire attack. Though it is hard to always achieve that. Also, make sure to always maintain a distance from Cannoneer during the corners so he only resort to the fire ball or the ground fire attacks.

-You don't have the luxury of staying still for too long.

-Try running along the edge of the arena and maintain a safe distance (takes time for Blade to walk towards you) , when you need to charge stamina, cast buffs/dark gifts or whatever preparation you need.

-The hardest part is to pay attention to Cannoneer when you are fixated on Blade Bearer, so constantly running along the edge of the arena and frequently maintaining a distance allows to have a better view of both.

-Poison helps cause you will be running alot and if you are the sort that like playing it safe.

Once Blade Bearer dies, it will be much easier to take down Cannoneer. You can dodge into his mid/short range flamethrower attack and drop a few attacks.

Go in and just learn the attacks of each of them.
Once you know whats comming at you, you can react accordingly instead having to guess.
After that it's trail and error, improve and adapt.

Maybe try something like this: https://sethclydesdale.github.io/code-vein-builder/?build=IIBgPgogjG7sM5mADmQTjAYSjCAWMAMSgCZjSA2bAZhu1PqzR3C0yPyA

Well little update, this is probably the hardest boss fight i've ever tried, i've died 400 times, its realy kinda starting to depresses me, the whole fight is so hard, i feel like i'm doing mathematics the whole time to understand when i can land attack, so yeah, unlock and parry help a lot get ichor, then i use the lightball thunder gift cause it's realy fast.

The build you guys recommanded me can't be used for three reasons, first, i don't have dlc, seconds, i can get some gift because i'm not far enough in the game, and third, i don't use gift that heals, but the one that makes me survive at 1 hp help a big lot.

Poison is also a bad idea, i need to be too much agressive to make it work, and patience is what i believe i need here.

on 400 attempts, i managed to kill her only once, then i died to big guy, this is so depressing :c
I'm just here to take a break, i want to prove myself i can end this run, but it is hella hard..

Just on mistake and is is the end.. Canonner attack to fast imo :c

I am not sure how differently you did, but the whole point of venom is to allow you to have it easy and not be too aggressive.

This one is what most peeps could/would do to cheese boss with no/little poison resistance.

Probably the hardest boss fight i've ever done..
i didn't like poison because i need to hit her enough in a short time to make it work, but i believe my build here isn't so bad either, it was just realy hard.

But, i realy believe the boss isn't very well done for a solo player, every other bosses can be learned, but this one, even when you know him pretty well its way to easy to f*ck up, red guy attack way to fast and way too often.

People compare this boss to Orstein and Smough, but expect thei'r sizes, nothing is similar, this one realy is fricking hard, the area is little, red guy start running toward you all the time.

Nobody probably realy cares but hell.. i feel like i accomplished something here..

Well done man.
Shiroe (cortana) Mar 27, 2020 @ 7:36am
tooked me 2 tries to beat this boss, on my very first playtrough of the game..
1st bcoz i got no clue to what to do, 2nd is after i changed skills

For future reference I highly recommend ice and flame armor + the weapon buffs for them, but start with blade bearer bcoz she is more annoying than the flame dude...

You played with companions i presume ? Because it is the hardest boss for most players, and solo them realy isn't a simple task.

Now go beat all DLC bosses with that Level 1 char.

Still has to finish the main game, i didn't brought the dlc yet, i may when teh Third one would be out, but even here i'm not sure, how's the bosses difficulty overhaul ?

Get ready for 1 hour boss fight. For sanity sake, I don't recommend it.
The boss fight is fun. There is a single hand sword that can 100% block physical attack and a Veil that scale with DEX and WILL which is perfect for light weight caster.
DLC isn't worth its full price.

If you decide to tackle DLC, I suggest you make another copy of your save and put than in another slot. Level one of your save to 300 and try out. Then go back work with Lv1 Char. These bosses has so much HP on Level 10 difficulty for a Lv1 char to kill.

Nah, its pretty cool. When I was doing my lvl 1 run back in the days those 2 forced me to use AI-carry+defense+old_last_journey to cheese them. So for me your determination is impressive.

Also on DLC, at lvl 300 optimized build kills bosses in around 1 min, so lvl 1 analog should do in 2-2.5 min. Still damage taking would be way more punishing of course, so should be somewhere on the level of pipe-challenges which are not super hard.

What exactly do you mean by level 10 difficulty ? Also, i don't sue sword, my run is also a bayonet run, because it looks cool! xD
Pretty sure i can expect more than an hour to beat them, because i already take 2 - 4 hours to beat bosses now ( throat, mido, kinght reborn )
I expect them to be hella tanky.

I'm not sure, the fact that i can't heal makes every fight longer because i can't trow attack randomly, and every fight is already at 3-4 minutes at this point of the game, sure it isn't perfect, but i can't speedrun them, and i think i'm already aggressiv enough on bosses, trying to land hit everytime i can.

Yeah i trough about old journey, i never use it before, but when i saw it was a one minute limit now, kinda usless, even more since i don't want to heal myself with gift, and using an AI would render the whole run " false " ( don't know how to express mylsef here )

But i probably won't try the dlcs, because i don't want to do both of them and having to come back later for the third one, my skills would fade away, and tbh, this run is already hella stressfull for me, i've done a lota run in the soulsborne series, but i just feel likes bosses are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ agressive here.

3 boss left now.

EDIT: Okay i just saw that the third DLC came ou 3 days ago, might give it a try.

Well if it is solo+lvl1+no_heal that certainly would be longer, I was referring to just lvl1 with AI-carry on top. In that case it should be 2-2.5 min per DLC boss.

Actually some overbuff builds can do around 100K damage in the opening hit, so for lvl1 that would be around 50K damage making boss instantly at half health. But that is of course if you would be willing to use such things ;)

FJ is not useless btw, it still can go to 2.25 min with white Mia setup which is hella long and at sl 300 is enough to wreck most boss fights at any ng+. It used to be stupidly OP, now it is just normal.

Well, think is i never use Allies in this game, i think they kinda ruin the fun of winning over an obstacle, and i'm just curious because 50k sems like an hella big number, do you have to use dlc gift for that ?
