So they made it pointless to use now?
The nerf was necessary, since personally I don't think Final Journey should be a Boss-kill set up Gift (activates before a Boss fight and then forget about it), but rather a last ditch effort Gift.
Imagine you're so close to killing the Boss, but you're all out of Regenerations and you have so little health left. Final Journey should be like a last ditch effort, what you need for the final assault.
In other words, the nerf to Final Journey makes it so that players would have to be more methodical of when to use it, I can't tell for everyone if the nerf is too much or not, I'll leave that for other players to debate.
Most other spells are these long range slow wind up projectiles you throw at people which kinda defeat the point of a fast paced combat style. Especially when you have to stay far away from everything...
