Stuck in exchange/trade in window

So I was going to purchase an item from Mia, her Brodiaea. I purchased 10 fragrant tea from the trader at the crossroads that likes old world materials. I traveled back to the Home Base and gave her all 10. On the first attempt I gave her all 10, got the 50 required points and purchased the weapon. After purchasing it I was unable to leave the menu and after a minute or two of trying I just Alt+F4'd.
Attempt #2. I purchased the same 10 teas and gave them all to Mia. This time I closed the dialogue menu and hoped this would work but now I cant even talk with Mia. I just get a buzzer sound as the interaction fails. I Alt+F4'd again to hopefully preserve my ability to talk to Mia later.

Any advice on a work around or ways to just get this to work would be nice.

The game has been locked at 60fps in game and I also went into my Nvidia Control panel and locked it to 60 in there as well just as an extra precaution and I still get the bug.

I found a solution.

So I've been screwing around with it again and I found a way to get around the getting stuck BS.
Give (in my case Mia) them 1 exchange item. Leave the interaction menu. Walk away for a second. Come back and speak to the NPC again, personally I had to press E a few times to get them to talk to me, and each time I reentered the exchange window I was losing an additional Fragrant Tea (I started with 10 but only exchanged 5 times and she took all of them). After doing this I am able to claim my weapon and continue to speak with her in the future.

TL;DR:
Talk to NPC and only exchange 1 item.
Leave the context menus.
Repeat.

Been having the same problem , i'll give your method a try. Don't know why valuables keep disappearing from inventory but hopefully it'll get fixed in the next patch.
