We can't talk in the name of the PC port, cause all the demos were on PS4.. but I trust they shouldn't be that different, and I didn't encounter any issues when I played, the controls did feel responsive for a dynamic gameplay. :)
Speed-wise it's faster than Dark Souls 1 / 2 but still a bit slower than 3. I wield a giant hammer during the test and had no trouble handling it even when it was a fairly cumbersome weapon.
I played the network test as well on PS4, to me the controls felt clunky, it wasn't exactly like in Dark Souls. It's rather like God Eater with Dark Souls-ish gameplay mechanic.
Other than that, weapon have 0 impact, some animations are a little clunky(but again, like the first DS), from the demo seems like a really unbalanced game(easy to get overpowered). Some FPS lag here and there.
Also, from the e3 demo, and people that actually played both version, seems like weapon animations already got improved. A lot of "flashy blood arts". Weapon moveset is decent, for pretty much all types. Like God Eater, you can pretty much create your own combo using blood arts and weapon moveset.
Pretty much, seems to have some technical limitation, but the game itself is really fun, probably the best "soulsborne clone"(if we didn't count Nioh, of course).
