Can you parry bosses?
I am just curious if there are attacks that you can parry because the bosses I faced didnt looked like I could(except Oliver... maybe you can parry his...)

Just say the name! Yeah it would be a spoiler for me but I asked for it.

Yes you can parry bosses. But you won't get a free backstab off of it. It'll just stop the attack. Honestly its better to just dodge most things to build focus.

Yes, you can and I think it applies for every attack. Naturally I didn't test this cuz git gud level not high enough.

You can parry but you wont get a riposte off them.

Some attacks are parryable, some are not. Make sure the hit actually connects with the parry (e.g. butterfly's attack from your right side can be pretty tricky)

But do they get into an stuned state? Like for a few seconds and then just stand up again?

(Depends on the lenght)
This could be viable for damage output.

Parrying a boss should work very well on a very aggressive melee build if you use the passive Deft Parry which gives full stamina back on a parry.

IMO parrying bosses is not necessarily worth the risk/reward, but then again, my level of GIT GUD is also not high enough to do it consistently, except against Oliver.

Parrying regular enemies I can do, but some bosses have weird timing in their attacks I honestly haven't mastered. I mean, I've got them down enough to dodge, but dodging's iframes are way more forgiving than parrying frames.

It puts bosses into that "lightly stunned" state from what I have experienced. Not sure if it can put them into that fully stunned state or if parrying just deals a lot of stagger damage.

If it can't fully stun a boss it is really not worth the risk unless you have that Deft Parry skill.

EDIT: By lightly stun I mean that stagger that seems to barely last a second, so a boss parry would let you get one free light attack in. Using a heavy attack or a spell with a long windup has always resulted in me getting punished.

Seems the ,,parry boss" doesnt look good.
Atleast you can parry them so might try it out by the next one.
