Corrupted Save after 30 Hours in

Anyone willing to share their save with me? Preferably one up to the Ashen Cavern with a male character.

I'm curious. How did the save get corrupted. Did your game crash during autosave ?

I've been wondering myself.. since the game released, I've been seeing threads about "corrupted saves" frequently here and on reddit. On reddit it seems the PS4 also has whatever issue causes this.

It happened last night, I was fighting the Gilded Warrior and my game crashed a little after the second phase. I tried loading my save and that's when I found out it was corrupted. Curiously the save file says my character's level was around 200+ with only 2 hours in.

Usually the save get's corrupted if the game crashes or freezes during a autosave, and since Code Vein has only 1 way to save the game (which is autosave) if that one and only save slot get's corrupted it's game over.

I suggest everyone to start backing up their save files.
Save path: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\CodeVein

I've seen couple of other topics here on steam talking about corrupted save files. It seems to be rare enough for now but there's nothing more frustrating than losing alot of hours just because of some save file corruption. Backup your save files regularly ladies and gents.

Pretty sure there's no saving during that fight. So that's interesting that somehow the save file got corrupted during this.

I'd gladly share mine.. altho I'm on my third playthrough (so NG+ it is, not on enhanced difficulty tho, cause I just wanna get the last ending left to me). I literally just reached the Ashen Cavern and saved the two first Successors.
But I've never shared any of my save files before, so I'm not quite sure how to do that.

I've been paranoid about backing up my saves since I first saw it crop up. I already thought that only having strictly an autosave file was questionable... let alone stuffing it in the AppData wasteland instead of MyDocuments. But if they're that vulnerable to game stability.. someone at BNS needs their earlobe pulled aside for a chat.

Yeah I find it odd as well. All reports of corrupted saves I've seen happened during an auto save. So i'm just dumbfounded at the moment.

i have a mia cosplay at the ice level, you can change the gender and stuff with character creator via starting a new character and saving it as a preset, if you'd like, it's not on ng+ just base game

Thanks for the offer, but I already finished the game with another character months ago. I appreciate it though
