Best weapons?

Hi,

I am level 50 and just got to the Cathedral.

Right now my main weapon is Zweihander +5 with no transformations (can't find any yet)

It is a good weapon and can usually 2-hit kill (heavy attack) enemies or 4-hit kill (normal attack) enemies.

The only problem is that its slow and lots of the Lost in the Cathedral attack fast and I end up getting my ass handed to me lol.

What's the best sword or fast weapon you can get this far into the game? Or can you offer some other weapons or advise?

There is no best weapons. Also the NPCs in the hub have the materials to transform with.

If you fancy 1 handers, Louise's sword is probably the best out of all.

excellent range (compared to other 1 handers)
has side to side attacks, many 1 handers do overhead attacks, this one doesn't so it's easier to slice them up.
fastest attack speed
also has one of the highest DMG, and since it's really lightweight, you can make it heavier through transformation to do more dmg.

the special attack is a gap closer

You can purchase it for 50 friendship points.

this site lists for each NPC which gift gives them the most points.

Go to the NPC that sells gifts, buy 10x "Yellowed Book", gift all 10 to Loise, buy his weapon.

<smth>mukuro 2H sword is strictly better than Yakumo's (and I think it's in Cathedral).
Only Louis's sword is genuinely great among 1H swords, but the rest of gift weapons aren't particularly great.

And anyway weapons are overrated. Just alpha-strike everyone with dark magic.
