Is it just the button prompt after the cutscene, or is the cutscene entirely different in itself?
Did you have an option to "restore the memory" in the dream sequence after the fight? That's the difference. Doing that versus walking out the door will lead to different outcomes.
Okay, I did do the restore. Just wanted to check.
At first I thought the difference was my character "remembering" things. To be honest, the story just got a lot more confusing for me! XD
If you didn't collect all of the vestiges the first time and you defeat the Cathedral boss, is it too late and you are doomed to a neutral/bad ending to the game?
yes the neutral ending required you to kill at least one successor
