Controls are a disaster, how did this pass QA?

I have no idea who thought these controls made any sense, you expect us to move via W,A,S,D but to use any of our abilities we need to use the F keys up above, and then to use regen we need to use the down arrow button? And C for parrying attacks? Does anyone have a work around for this beyond simply getting a controller. At this point with controls THIS bad I will probably be putting in a refund request.

I have never understood people who prefer to play 3rd person action games with a keyboard/mouse tbh

Obviously my personal feelings aren't an excuse for bad controls for those who do, it's just weird to me

It works great! Admittedly, it's clear that it was geared for controller, but I prefer KBM and it's just fine after some tweaks.

im high jacking this thread lol i just started the tutorial and it has me feeling stupid it wants me to hold some button down and press an F key to use a gift but i have no idea what button im supposed to hold down. any1 know?

I mean Sekiro was completely find for keyboard and mouse and well tuned around without having excess button bloat. This game is a mess, and if people think that having to accept re-binding half a dozen or so keys at the start of the game is acceptable then I don't know, maybe I'm just detached.

It's probably set to use right shift, and then F1-F8 by default.

I'm pretty sure you can also use the 1-8 keys to quick select gifts as well without going through all of that

Thank You I tried left shift and that wasn't it and it never even crossed my mind to try right lol.

Try 1. I have not had to access the additional menu for the gifts yet.

3rd person action rpgs are always preferred with a controller.

Do key rebinding in the controls menu.

I listed my control scheme up on the PC Gaming Wiki, if you are interested in seeing how I have my control scheme set up. It plays much better with some rebinding.

What if they don't own a controller and keyboard is all they have? That's how it is for me.
