Go into

X:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\CodeVein\Saved\SaveGames\RANDOM_NUMBER

and place GameData_Slot*.sav file from your steam cloud inside that folder.

X - partition with Windows installed
YOUR_USERNAME - will show your windows profile name
RANDOM_NUMBER - well, some random number folder that game creates whenever you save for first time, if you don't have it just start new game and save it and it should appear.

The game crashed and lost my save that had 10 hours. Found my ave file in steam cloud, but cant find the code vein savegames folder.

<your home folder>/AppData/Local/CodeVein

If you can't find the folder at all, try starting the game up so it creates a new savefile, then replace it with your backup. (Make sure to save the backup somewhere first so your cloud data won't be overwritten with the new savefile)

literally tried saving new games and turned off cloud save. I cant see anything about a savedgame folder in my user folder. ive searched for it in all various ways. doesnt work. I have been trying for 4 hours almost.

The only thing i can find about the game is on steamapps. And theres nothing about save files in it. Better to start a new character at this point.

Even if you lost your save, there is no way you don't have CodeVein folder in AppData\Local. Are you sure you checked it? If you can't find AppData itself, that's because it's hidden, use links posted above to get there.

I didn't know we had this page... Thanks!

I looked and I have never found how to reach it following this path Home > Account > View Steam Cloud
