Oh really?
When I was last checking compatibility online, most websites said that you need Big Picture mode in order for it to work.
That's great news though, no need to spend money on a new Xbone gamepad then.

In my experience with more than a year using Steam + Switch Pro Controller, if you open the game with Big Picture the Switch/PS4 controller WILL work with pretty much any game.. If you are opening with regular steam it will probably NOT work, at first. You will need to configure the controller on steam preferences for DESKTOP, You have to do this just one time..
In the worst case, there is a little software that detects your Switch Controller and "convert it" to a xbox 360, so any game, even not steam games, can work.. The software is called "BetterJoyForCemu" but install this ONLY as a last resource.
