Regular version comes with the game.
FighterZ edition comes with the season pass (8 extra characters that will be released at a later date).
Ultimate edition comes with the season pass, extra music from the anime (though mostly openings, will be available in March), and commentator voice pack (available in April).

Biggest difference is you are paying way more for content that isn't even out on release. Can understand the dlc characters, but extra music/voice packs should not be coming after release...

1.base game
2.fighter z pass (8 characters)
3. Ultimate contains FZPass, plus some Extra characters as Vegeta, Goku etc and some audio bonuses...
There is yet to be released a GOTY or Complete Edition that will contain all the above and the additional (2 for the time being) season passes...
No edition is a must buy for now, but I also bought the Ultimate... Missing a lot of the game's lineup though...

Almost 5 years late, and he stated he bought ultimate back then. Besides you also forgot to menttion is not just the season passes and few extras, but also LabCoat Android 21, since she can only be purchased separately outside the passes.
