I am talking about one side is red and one side is blue making the skins pretty much invisible. Can't even tell what skin the person has on. To me, there's no point in buying a skin nobody but yourself see's in game and all you see is 1 arm.
The skins with animated textures you can't really tell in game mode. The cat man skin stands out on either team but that is the only one I can think of.
There should be some override so you don't get a reddish team member. It's a darker red but if you're tired it's easy to mistake.
For me it's seeing red/pinkish teammates. It's easy to mistaken for an enemy in this fast pace shooter, especially when you're a beginner. In game modes where every bullet counts , like "one in chamber", it can be frustrating when you wasted that last bullet on a teammate.
THIS SO MUCH.
The amount of times I've wasted bullets on teammates with red skins is GARBAGE.
This is over-all bad design, I will admit. That issue needs to be addressed ASAP.
The Skins in general are fine. It's the easiest way for F2P games to make money. I'm ok with not seeing my skin most of the time as I understand that Splitgate is an Arena-shooter, NOT an Hero-Shooter or Battle-royale. That's why all the weapons have skins, those are the star of the show, really.
Yeah; this messed me up a few times as well...
EDIT: The way to make money if of course to have different voice packs (different voices) which speaks.
