"Exit to Desktop" bricked my PC
Title says it all. I was playing with some friends, and when I quit the game, the game didn't stop running - music continued to play and the screen did not disappear. Got locked out of alt-tabbing, to the extent that I couldn't even get to task manager, at which point my screen went black. Alt-F4 did not work, it shut down all my other programs but not Splitgate. Had to resort to turning my computer off at the wall. Seems like a pretty serious issue, don't know if this is the place to report it.

Try reporting it on Discord.

Probably an issue with your PC.

I know, I know. I'm sure this is the only game that this has happened with. But it's still probably a RAM or other memory issue.

The same thing happens to me even when the game at some point freezes (I recommend putting the game in windowed mode without borders because otherwise it cannot be closed, you have to restart forced)

Bricked means it totally destroyed your computer. If you were able to turn it off and on again... your computer wasn't bricked. Freezing your computer is different from bricking.

But anyways i haven't experienced that bug yet. What are your specs?

I'm not particularly well-versed in tech, didn't realise there was a difference. More helpful than the guy below you, at least.

GPU is a 2070 Super, Ryzen 2700X CPU, and 32 GB of RAM I believe. Forget what the motherboard is, I'll dig it up if it's somehow important. It handles most of everything I throw at it well enough, but again, I'm not really educated enough on it to troubleshoot anything more advanced than what's in the BIOS.
