You can create pretty op buffs with them but ofc you get a debuff (that wont hurt you at some point)
If you find them in dungeon nothing changes for thet run. They are just sent town.
So always pick them up.
Some of them are crap and should never be used but some are pretty strong
If your supply in the tavern reaches 0, you just pay for drinks instead, you can always take them.
If you find a drink in the arena, you DO drink it immediately.
One drink that is good for building your town (+100% ore -75% gold )
Get your town hall to tier 4 and fountain to tier 2 quick.
You can adjust the difficulty to even out the gold loss by simply disabling something you probanly wont use in the "early game" like having traders in the dungon and get a huge bonus on hold and xp for just that.

Could also ignore the 100% more gold for no hp regen and instead use the fountain to get gold increase and even more xp gain.
