It has a higher chance to spawn in ng+1 I think. It's about as random as the magic anvil.

I found it behind a secret passage opened by a switch, had to break a bookcase inside. You'll know its there on the map since it has its own icon.

I also found it now in plain sight on the first try on ng+1 and I also had +5 Luck (maybe that influences those spawnchances aswell?)

So you just have to pray a little bit more to RNG and look out for a dinosaur head icon on the map.

so wonderful that they added yet another hide and seek quest to the damned archives.... cause there wasn't enough reason to hate that level to start or anything.

edit: Well I just lucked out hardcore and found it near immediately, didn't even have to break anything, it was just out in the open (I had pushed two buttons before then, so I don't know if it was hidden behind a wall or not, it was revealed by the time I got to it.) Total time spent in archives: two minutes. Lucky. :D

What is it meant to do? It allows me to "attune" monsters, but i don't know if i'm just buffing them or nerfing them?

I haven't actually used it yet but my guess is that it gives you a buff against that monster. Not really sure what the point in using skill points to buff a monster would be?

Attuning a monster lets you do 20% more damage to that monster and take 5% less damage from it, very very end game spot to spend stars at. It costs 2 stars per rank of the monster so basic monsters cost only 2, elites cost 4, mini bosses cost 6 and bosses cost 8.

Why in the hell would you spend points to buff them? Use some thought here FFS.
It wasn't very clear and figured it might've give bonus rewards for beating the harder versions IF it was buffing them. No need to get thingy, it was a guess.

As i said above just a guess that i thought gives some boost or cool reward.

I want to announce, that i have found the Book of Monsters on my 10th run or so, in the library. I played a normal run with N+0 (Normal mode), and found the book.
