I was at least getting life steal with my AA.
Thank you, it was just annoying cause at the time I posted it wasn't.
Edit: Actually you stand corrected, as the Warlock's auto still doesn't do damage itself. It just applies the debuff which if that's the intented purpose for the Warlock, then there's no point playing the Warlock at all as you can't do much besides casting spells every so often.
That's partially due to the downscaling I believe. You do less damage as well if you go to a lower NG+ than your current highest.
Stormlash was actually buffed. Stormlash can now trigger on itself which is why it's stats had to be lowered.
I have to believe it's not. I have dmg #s turned on. No different in damage numbers if I hit a target and walk away than if I auto twice. The 2nd tick happens at the exact same time as if it was nothing more than the effect causing the dmg
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whether this is intended or not, soul dagger no longer states that it deals any damage from the initial swing, only that it applies a dot.
Second, to do some math on storm lash, using what Muffinatorz said, the old storm lash would do 50%/75% chance to deal 50%/75% damage, but couldnt trigger on itself. This simply means that % chance times % damage is the simplest way to see how this increases your damage, so its 25%/56% more damage.
If the new storm lash can proc off itself we then need to apply a geometric sum to determine how much extra damage they will deal from procing off itself. We then need to know whether the progressive bolts base damage is from the first ability, or from the reduced damage of storm lash. Either way the sum for this effect is r^n and converges to 1/(1-r). If it is the former, then r=0.25/0.5 with the damage being 25%/50%, so this means that the increase in damage from these abilities is 33%/100%, or a buff. If the later is correct then that means r=%chance*%damage, or r=0.0625/0.25, so the damage increase is 14%/33%, and it is a nerf.
To sumerize, the increase in damage from old storm lash was 25%/56%, new storm lash is either 33%/100% or 14%/33% depending on whether or not the base damage of continually procing bolts is determined by the first ability cast, or the subsequent storm lash bolts.
