Maxed side step
3 slice and dice - I don't think anymore is necessary since you already attack so fast at that tier when killing mobs and they just melt
Maxed gold fever

Chapel:
20 % primary damage
Ignore 20% armour for primary
2.5% lifesteal on primary hits

I have every black smith, apothecary, magic shop upgrades.

Playstyle wise I just run in/grapple and hold left click and use the stun bomb (it's usually not even that necessary when you have a decent amount of gold/items on you, but I use it just in case cause I pull like half the mobs on the floor at a time and just destroy them) just go from room to room on every act literally pull any amount of mobs from any number of rooms and never drop HP. Just make sure you always run in a path where you don't double back too quickly or arrows that were fired will collide with you. You move so fast with combo and attack so fast with slice and dice it's just literally you blasting through rooms. I dont send my money back ever, I just do the dragon or if I get an imp that will send it back at 0% tax I do that.

I usually spam my daggers while I hold down left click as well when killing statues, dragon statues and bosses. Though they're not upgraded at all they're decent when you get magic shop upgrades and when you carry a lot of money and items. You can just just use them while you hold down left click anywhere if you want but you can't spam them as much as someone who went the knife fan build cause the blessings differ but it still does really help with things like ghosts, wisp orbs in act 4, statues, bosses and the mini boss mobs in all acts.

My friend went the knife build and he's just as broken if you want to go that way but he plays more on the edges while I'm in a million mobs. Just depends on how you like to play.

Thief got all my classes maxed upgrades but I wouldn't recommend making him first. He's hard to level and upgrade as the first character. I used my 20 paladin to level my thief for money upgrades. Now I'm starting to put all my classes NG+.

EDIT: My guild title is Acclaimed so I have lot more extra stars, I'm not sure what title you have so you may not have enough stars if you wanted to try my build. I think I get like 21 stars or 24 when I make a new character. And you get like 86 or 87 from leveling from 1-20.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the 1-20 leveling but I'm fairly confident it's 87.

EDIT: This isn't the best build but 1 of 2 viable builds in my eyes. If there's another good way to build thief other than knife fan I'd be curious to know about it.

Gold Fever and don't send back to town.

Throwing Knives, mana regen chapel buff.

Profit.

I have been using damage reduction, life regen and life steal. Life steal is only really good when you carry alot of gold. I never upgrade throwing knives they are pretty good burst up close already.

you can not rely on Trowing knifs do.. most of the time im using it i realy have a mana problem. even whit 100% mana regen. ther is also that 25% decrease in mana ussage upgrade at chappel but will 5 decrease in mana realy help?
Misfit Mar 18, 2018 @ 3:39am
it helps alot, but you still cant spam it like crazy without some amazing item luck.
but its enough to demolish act 5 if you group up enemys a bit and wait for the rigth moment to dagger them.
Mr_Underscore Mar 18, 2018 @ 3:51am
Well "normal" thief build can do act 5 as well you are just strafing the outer rim of a mob till all the ranged are dead and then wipe out the melee in seconds.

It depends on one's playstyle really. There are lots of items increasing regen during combo so if you pick mana regen and 25% mana cost reduction buffs and can sustain combo for a long time you can spam knives late game with no problems.

I just throw 100 coins in for something good or something great happened. If something happened, something bad or horrible I just quit the game and remake and throw in another 100.

Also I forgot to mention try to get stone of midas (life stone + mana stone), use the monolith to try to get gold gain but don't risk anything you can't afford to lose. And try to get the 25% more gold item. It gets to the point where you don't even need all the items you obtain at the later acts as well.

I maxed out throwing knives, gold fever, dodge, speed and went full skillpower.

For blessings i took magician, then the mana regen, then the one that made your skills cost less.

You basically just right click everything to death. Bosses melt in seconds. You are a god in ng.

In ng+ you play a bit more conservatively and deal a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of burst damage when necessary.

You don't need to mess around with the smoke bomb or grapple at all. If you have excess points at the very end, put it into your primary attack.

You cant play thief without full city. Need max gold fever 3 lvl dager 1 in slice and dice and all else in throw daggers. His main damage is gold buff and he can use attack and dagger throw in same time a lot damage point blank. After stack some gold he become strongest among all champs.
