Multiplayer via LAN

I know there's already a plea for adding local coop - i.e. Couch Coop - to the game, but I wonder whether it would be also possible to merely add an option for multiplayer via LAN? I know it's old-fashioned and the motivation might be rather brash, but ...

... the reason why I bought the original Hammerwatch was because I could play the game with my friends without asking everyone to get one copy of the game. I'd just give them a controller and that's that. Easy. Now I do have more than one PC at home and it would be simarily nice just to run two instances of Steam in Offline-Mode and play game with only one copy locally at home.

Some people might say "Wha, that's unfair. If you want to play the game with a friend then buy another copy." The same could be said about Couch Coop as well, however.

So long story short: being able to play the game locally - via LAN - would be a neat addition and maybe easier to implement than Couch Coop. Even though I've bought the game I haven't played it yet, because I'd prefer to play it with my partner at home rather than with strangers on the internet.

I'd love a local area network mode as well (or a TCP/IP multiplayer which can work both in LAN setting and Internet)

I find it unlikely they add anything to this game but I'd love to see either TCP/IP multiplayer or simple LAN multiplayer.

I too would love to see this feature. Assuming this uses Steam sockets, it sometimes means everyone has a good connection, but Steam has randomly kicked the bucket. Direct IP can offer people a method that removes one point of failure from the system.

I bought the game just to play local coop with my friends in my ps4

but they didn't put this feat in the game so I just waste my money over nothing --'

I am never playing this game singleplayer or online
