Just earlier today had the one crash where it crashes from traversing too many floors and there is a different ongoing problem for months now, at least for me, where orb of winter is randomly crashing the game for my sorcerer. Based on the trailer, if skill swapping works how it looks to, I might advise people to avoid that skill if they've seen similar issue in their playtime.
Bleh, big reason why I hate such modes is the games that implement them are far from perfect. If some masochistic fellow doesn't mind lag or a disconnect or, in this games case, a crash to delete a character then power to them. However, I'm personally not willing to shell out money to torture myself.
They've promised to make it shorter than PoP. Liars!
This hardcode mode should be optional. You should still be able to enjoy the DLC on normal mode. Just don't select the permadeth mode and good to go. I don't play hardcode mode in any game as I don't like losing everything I worked for.
tl:dr Play Moon Temple without Permadeath turned on.
Merc mode is for players that want to spice things up and try new challenges or crazy builds. You gain points to unlock some of the cosmetics you saw in the trailer, and you still get some points even if you don't play terribly well.
Just be a man and get it in 23 hours.
