No button spawned in the prison

On prison level 7 I checked everywhere and no button. I updated earlier and don't know whether this is a new map variant or if it's just possible for the button not to spawn. Just checking that this isn't a bug.

The button will always spawn. I don't know if it's possible for it to spawn in the new "Variant" areas but it will always spawn.

Have you checked pillars/weird structures that spawn in the middle of some bigger rooms? The button can spawn on those and it made me really run around the level for few minutes humping north walls before noticing it first few times. It can also be hidden beneath the wines in some dark corner as well.

Pretty sure if you use the fountain and get something "horrible" happened the button can just not spawn.

Nothing bad or horrible on the fountain and I hugged all the walls and pillars while tapping F.

No, even if you roll the "buttons are stuck" horrible roll, the button still spawn, they just don't do anything.

IDK, I haven't encountered this bug in many hours of play and never heard anyone else complaining about it. Either you encoutered some super-rare bug, the new update introduced this bug, or you are missing the the button.

Yep, this just happened to me. Rolled a "Something great happened" but here I am in a prison level with no button anywhere in sight but doors everywhere. So it's not the fountain doing anything. This is definitely a bug. Scaled all visible walls but even running up against them has no interaction icon. Going to report it.

Well devs did changed with level generation in Act 2 in the new patch 67 ("* More dungeon variation now exists in the Mines, the Prison, and the Armory.") so it's entirely possible that they accidentally introduced a new bug.

I've noticed the same thing earlier. On one of the levels (not sure which number it was) I couldn't find the button to open the jail cells regardless of how much I searched.

Just happen to me. On "FORSAKEN TOWER, PRISON - FLOOR 6". Ran around a few times. Went along the wall a few times. Then spammed use on the wall(all the wall, not just the ones you can see) backing out when I hit the mine, shop and doors (skipping the exit). There is a small island that I cannot get to but it just contains a touch, no button in sight. No fountain was used. This was a single player run. Not a NG+x, but on a lvl 16 NG+1 Thief.

On the PC at least, you don't even have to spam the USE button, you can just skim the south-facing walls and watch for the cursor to show the USE animation.

Happened to me now too, forsaken tower, prison, floor 5. I was always able to find the button prior to patch 67. Scanned whole place 3 times, gave up and took the teleport.

No, seriously, I had been trying for 15 minutes long sniffing all possible "northern walls".

I can confirm that the button does not always spawn. We always find the button fairly quickly, even if it's really hard to see, behind vines etc. Once we spent like half an hour on a level and we just could not find it. Now I know this is not a definite proof but I totally believe the button wasn't there.
