Crit damage calculator
I've made a crit damage/odds spreadsheet and I thought I'd share it since it could be useful. I believe the calculations to be correct based on on the current HoH build (b74)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vj72axlf9JP0lymT_OSlxWj_i7olxFtKSm8y2YLvKyI/edit?usp=sharing

The sheet takes a base damage value, crit multi and various crit chance sources and gives you the odd of getting crits (even single, double, etc.), their damage, and the average damage you will do with these crit stats. You can see the value in overall damage increase of a single item or multiple items, for instance, or see how much damage you would gain from an extra +100% crit damage, etc.

Please let me know if some calculations are incorrect, or if something isn't clear.

You can watch you crit chance and damage% in character screen.

The crit chance in the character screen is only partial information -- it gives the chance to get a critical strike, including multiple crits (multiple exclamation marks, in this game each crit source can proc individually, resulting in a hit being a double, triple, etc. crit) which makes it quite hard to really tell how much average damage to expect, and what are your odds of seeing really big numbers.

The sheet will give more details, and is pretty usefull if you want min/max characters and decide if attuning a crit item or adding extra crit chance/crit damage from drinks is worth it

Sheer damage always better CD Incendiary demise Double thriller Hammer time(essence) and elemental bruiser(for caster instead demise is last stand) . Mean casters now dont even have a choose crits with 5 drinks. Last drink for auto attackers is evasion or last stand but as well may be a +10% crit. Well or MADZ drink its doable for priest or pal.

Sorry to necro your post, but was just trying to make a similar calculator that factored in luck. Having only a beginner's knowledge of probability, when I made it to poisson distributions I died a little & looked for one someone else made. Your approach is really elegant & helps a ton! Thanks for sharing this! :D
