The detailed issue is. When I allow the game to Vsync, it locks at 57~fps instead of 60 when I choose 60. Locks at 117 when I lock at 120 etc.
If I choose no Vsync it runs at like 500-900 fps depending on what settings are on/off graphically. Doesnt run smooth either way.
If I run in DirectX mode and force my GPU to override the in-games Vsync it DOES hit a stable 60fps or 120 fps (whatever i set it to) but it still runs choppy.
When its running at 57fps as stated earlier, every once in a while itll smooth out and i'll get a demo of what the game was intended to run at. So I know it can be smooth, just something is wrong.
Everything's up to date btw, drivers etc.
I've attempted all forms of windowed mode, fullscreen, borderless fullscreen, all graphical settings on/off. All forms of Vsync types and triple buffering on/off. As well as different resolutions

A visual idea of what i'm seeing at "60" fps after setting Vsync to "off" and using my GPU to Vsync lock to 60. Looks 100x worse using the in-game vsync.

Posts from 7/9 months ago, issue never got fixed.
I personally tried every setting I could but nothing helped.
frame rate limit, vsync, every graphics options, windowed, borderless, fullscreen, different resolutions, dx11, steam overlay on/off, multiple nvidia drivers, etc.
Sad I have to pass on a Hammerwatch sequel I've been waiting a long time for over this.
Sucks for them, was gonna buy 3 more copies.
