Stuck inside walls
Our group has been having significant issues getting stuck inside walls. Since the last patch update the enemy units can push you into a wall or through a wall. For example if you are in a corner during the 4th act book ritual you can get pushed through walls quite easily but since the wall is thin you just walk back around. Unfortunately in many areas the walls are thick or have no other side and you are trapped with no way to get out (that we know of).

Our only solution so far is to use the kill command and then corpse drag the trapped player to the next level where we can res them. When this bug first started happening we thought it was just a fluke and we have attempted to be careful not to get too close to walls but we have since had 5 runs in a row of NG+9 and above ruined by the wall glitch.

I assume this is already a known issue but if I get responses to the contrary we'll start to take screenshots and list them. I hadn't seen a post on here about it and I didn't want the bug to persist through the next patch as it is an incredibly discouraging one.

BUG REPORT
------------------------

Enemy units can push characters into walls where they will be permanently stuck.
Issue can occur in single or multiplayer.
Issue can affect any player including the host.
Issue occurs when stationary or on the move (example: charging through a room of enemies in the 3rd act and character passes the wall boundary and is stuck on the "outside" of the map)


QUICK FIX SUGGESTION

Unstuck command that can be used on a limited timer that will take you to level start. While this isn't ideal it would at least prevent us from having to restart promising runs.

Someone falling outside the map is happening in nearly all of my multiplayer runs. Its a show stopper.

Any response on this? It killed 2 more of our runs tonight. Really discouraging.

I haven't had any issues when playing with my friends at all, never happened, but hope it is fixed since this patch I guess.

Two more runs ruined last night. The last one was in act 4 near the new fire trap with 4 confusion going one way and then 4 confusion the other to arrive at a chest. A great threat spawned and pushed our priest into a portion of the trap where he could not move.

The MAJORITY of our runs are now being compromised by this bug (presumably because we play on higher difficulty and stuff dies slower). If you are EVER near a wall around any enemies that can push you then you'll have a chance to be pushed into the wall and not be recoverable.

What is worse ---------------- the /kill command that lets us corpse drag our friends now disconnects them from the server. This disconnection has now occurred twice. I don't like to beat a dead horse but its not the horses dying it is US.

Can i get a developer comment on this. 100% reproduce-able bug that occurs in the majority of our games. This is not a drill! All hands on deck.

Maybe you should care to make a video on this or at least provide some screenshots, since you are the only one who is reporting this bug consistently it seems.
That you can get stuck in walls when the host has not finished loading the map should be well known by now, and is easily avoidable with a bit of patience.

Your bug seems rather unusual so you might want to provide some 'proof' since you seem to be the only only one you can 'easily reproduce' it.

What? he isn't even even the only one in this discussion thread.

I know several people who experience this regularly. Its not a loading thing, this can happen any time. I had this happen a few days ago on one of the new act4 traps. A great threat spawned and flooded the area with dudes and I was unceremoniously repositioned into a void area in the middle. I was totally safe but couldnt move.

Well I have seen some of the act 2 leeches floating above the 'void' in rare cases, no doubt I do believe there is an issue.

Apart from the sad fact that the discord server is heavily favoured to get devs attention (and maybe it is a better place in terms of efficiency etc, I dunno...) there is two things they need to figure out:

1. is it merely a bug within the game or
2. is there some aspect of your computers specs/drivers etc. that cause a bad interaction?


So whilst I see your grievance of not getting back any response here or a pointer to an FAQ regarding already reported bugs and workarounds, I do not see how you are contributing anything of value by shouting 'happens to me, too'. Might as well be a troll, that is why I did ask for screenshots-_-


3. Apart from this being a game issue, I do consider it also to be an issue of playstyle. Considering I did never even come close to experiencing this simply because I very rarely have hordes of mobs pushing me against any wall, and just wait out great threats out in the open in general.
But I do understand that runs take very long and that some people cannot afford to wait it out all the time.

We are going to start taking screenshots every time. It can happen with any player (host or client). It can happen with any class (just have to be pushed against a wall). It can happen with many different specs (as all my friends computers have different specs). It can happen in solo or multiplayer.

As I said before the only thing I can conclude is that this is a rare issue for most because they do not play on higher difficulty. When monsters take a long time to kill (think NG 8+) you often are swarmed and pushed around especially on priest/paladin characters. Personally I experience it the most often as a paladin because they are often dealing with hoards of enemies that leave little room.

I'll submit a screenshot to this thread and ask any other active forum goers to do the same if they get stuck as it may help get a developer response. Thx for the constructive criticism 2bizzy - I'll see if I can't come up with more proof to help them diagnose the issue.

Well thank you for not outright being personally insulted, these conversations on the internet can derail so easily nowadays.

Out of curiosity, as I am only in NG+5 so far. Do you still do full clears on all floors at your level, and which composition of characters are you running?

If you are in a full paladin party you do NOT clear. In fact you clear very little. You run to all the secrets and grab all the chests and then exit.

In Act 3 you kill the 3 statues and kite ghosts. If you have a partner - they'll grab a batch of ghosts and run off with them while you destroy the next statue phase.

In act 4 you all run around grabbing buttons and going through portals.

In act 5 you skip all but the chests/shop.

If you have a non-paladin then you need to make sure to clear a line. They'll usually kill at a comfortable pace while the paladins zip around completing objectives. It is much slower since you do have to kill a lot so that they can get to all the chests.

Paladins and Rangers are probably your best mixed comp right now. Thieves are complete garbage but the other 5 classes can all do well if they build correctly.

I've had it happen to me. I was playing a paladin and intentionally backed into a corner to fight defensively, after about 10secs of getting flooded by melee guys I ended up in the wall.i may have a screenshot on my PC. I'll check later tonight.
