Almost every watcher I fail the sequence and have to do one extra wave because I simply cannot tell the green and blue books apart.
They are so different and easily told apart up there with their numeric order, but in stages they are absolutely the same.

I just tried using the Windows’ magnifying glass and at 500% zoom I can actually tell they are different, but at normal size or even less zoom those things are identical!

I wonder if the developers will see this forum post...
Any one else has this book problem?

Do you mean the actual book itself, or the icon at the top? If you can tell the color then that should be enough even if the pattern looks the same to you. The blue will always be on the bottom of the bosses map, green will always be on the left. Where the books are on the boss map don't change

As stated above, If you can tell the color, you can tell the order. Poison (green) is always left, darkness (blue) is always down, Blood (red) is always right, Transformation (Yellow) is always up, and you can compare the symbols on the book to the 4 symbols on the ground in the center chamber as well to figure this out.

Edit: Also, you still have the option of actually reading the popup page of text when you, yknow, read the book in the previous floors, itll say like "Chapter 1: Malign Transformation" or "Chapter 3: Withering Decay" -- And this i the order you're supposed to do them, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4

Withering Decay - Left
Embrace the Dark - Down
Blood Pact - Right

I used to.

I just memorized the book locations. It seems silly, but as you look at the map:

• Red = book is on the Right (east)
  
• Blue = book is on the Bottom (south)

Once I remembered these two, it was just a matter of forcing myself to remember the position of one other color, and I chose Yellow = North.

I though their position were random every time.

But now I see they are fixed and the boss-room design has a symbol showing were each book is at.

No longer failed sequence, yey!
