Best dps build and classes after this update ?
Even asking this way I wanted to know more about ranger, is it still viable ? i noticed primary attack is extremely slow if compared as it was before. Also what "blessings build" do most dps using ranger ?

Attack speed seems the same for me.

In my opinion the Witch Hunter is amazing. He is what the Ranger always wanted to be but failed miserably, a DPS dealer. In NG+ and above, with the Ranger, you spend a lot of time trying to avoid melee attackers and dodging the projectile shower and you can't do what you supose to do, deal damage. Even with another player tanking for you. Shooting slower as you walk and walking slower as you shoot is also very annoying. His skills also do not help much. With the Witch Hunter, even alone, it's possible to do a lot of damage without having to run away so much. The Witch Pyre is a wonderful skill that gives you a safe point to shoot with his Excellent Primary Attack. The other skills also help a lot with the DPS. Good job on the Witch Hunter, devs.
unfortunately witch hunter is a dlc class whitch i can't afford at the moment unfortunately (snif)

Sorry to hear that, but if you enjoy playing as archer class, you'll love the Witch Hunter. I'm sure.

Attack speed is unchanged for me. Perhaps you never noticed before that if you stand still your attack speed will increase drastically while moving decreases it.

There are some variants of blessings for ranger you can choose from depending on what content you are playing.

Raw damage : 1 1 1 4 (Gives you all the LMB + RMB-shotgun damage possible)

NG pushing: 2 1 2 4 (Gives you invaluable damage reduction, life sustain and armor penetration for scaling your damage)

Ore farming: 1 3 4 4 (All about mana sustain so you can keep your movement speed buff up all the time using RMB, which will also kill stuff so you have combo up as much as possible. Use that build if you want to farm ore on an NG level that you can handle without the need of the damage blessings)

I agree that witch hunter is basicly a better version of every aspect of the ranger, except the mobility. Ranger is still a very good class to pick up to get you going until you can max out your paladin to farm ore basicly as efficient as possible. From there you could level up classes evenly for class title bonus or just play whatever you want while maxing it out at lvl 1 with all the ore you farmed as paladin.

Once you are very, very far into the game, assassin will completely obliterate the content with little to no contest from any other class. This does require a lot of rare drinks and anchor blueprint luck, though.

It's a good point to consider, indeed. If you are starting from scratch, in NG+0, the Ranger is pretty good.

I have a thief lvl 56 and my paladin lvl 21 is better in NG+2 I don't understand why ....
actually i am at NG+3 but ranger still overcomes paladin mainly in the library where most damages are magic and ranged and i have to get close to the mobs in order to kill them.

Paladin is overpowered. He can tank everything with the right drinks + items.

Well, my build with him is basically return damage and life steal. The most important items that should be attuned are Mail of Thorns, Scarab of Protection, Wrath of Thundergods, Bloodythirsty Ring and Amulet of Kings. In the church I do the defensive build with damage return. For drinks, Mellow Mist + Last Stand + Incediary Demise (this is amazing with Scarab of Protection + Bloodythirsty Ring) + Safe Bet. Gather a big mob, stand still (Last Stand) and hit the monsters. While you're hitting with your Primary Attack, you're immortal. The damage is good considering that you hit, use the skills and at the same time the mob got lots of returned damage. Not to mention that, unlike the other classes, you don't have to waste time running away. So, playing as Paladin should be a breeze. Try this and let me know. I stopped at NG + 12 because there is nothing else I wanted to upgrade. I could go on. If you're stuck in the library, it's probably because your Resistance is low.
