After killing the final boss and getting "fired" the screen turns black with some 'creepy' sound and stay this way

right analog stick is inverted. So I cant play please Help. x360ce does not work in this game

i-7700 and a 1070 xbox 360 controller tried resetting pc, reinstalling drivers, run as admin, verifying integrity of game files, reinstalling game, a different controller (ps4, gc, and hori n64) and still nothing. Even tried setting up remote play to see if the game needed two controllers to start. Not sure if there's just some weird quirk to the title screen but other people seem to have problems with it as well. ...

I tried playing this with my friend via remote play together, but it would only work on whichever controller was last to be plugged in. Is there a workaround for this?
