Currently playing "Kolyma". What a great map!
- well balanced topography (not too dramatic, but challenging),
- detailed ravines
- beautifully textured throughout
- demands a little thinking for managing resources
- interesting mechanics (drawbridges, build bridges etc.)
- somewhat logically placed infrastructure

I'm generally not too fond of maps with dramatized/exaggerated topography and/or illogical placed infrastructure (road network etc), but rather like to see details resembling reality. A few of the maps stick out and Kolyma is one of them (IMO). Thank you dmitriy1815!

Another one that I remember playing a long time ago is 19rus Plateu (by Psix19rus). It had something in the layout that felt real, be it reminded me of a real location or just by providing the atmosphere. All parts of the map felt "connected" and interesting, still providing variation across the map.

is there a mountainous snowy map with tight roads?

I personally have not tried any snowy maps so there's no snow-map in my long list on front page. You can simply try have a look here (search "snow" + add filter "level")

I see a few 4-starred maps there already. Perhaps Frog's Snow Mountain or Rolling Snow would suit you?
