Hardcore mode question about logs

do the logs not auto load on HC? I dont have a crane!

You can. But other player needs to ask permission to transfer the log by clicking on it.

Yeah it works fine in multiplayer, although don't rely on other people being able to use a crane however.

It's not difficult to use it. It's more in the area of are You playing with a person that wants to play the game or someone that wants to fool around and quit after 15 minutes.

You need a crane on HC. However, you can load other vehicles with one crane, so you don't need a crane on every single log carrying vehicle.

It's not difficult to use it. It's more in the area of are You playing with a person that wants to play the game or someone that wants to fool around and quit after 15 minutes.

It's difficult enough if you just jump in an online game for the first time without ever using one, or always playing casual and ending up in a hardcore lobby.

You are right there. I did that too, I started a single player game on hardcore and was clueless that You have to load logs. I didn't wnat to spoil the experience for other players so decided on single player, decision paid off. So yeah, I know where You are coming from on this one.

All I can add is that hardcore is not that scary, anybody that likes the game and wants to play it should try it, use the crane, load the logs, run out of fuel, get stuck dozens of times, winch yourself with another truck and get that truck stuck as well. If everybody does that than multiplayer random lobbies won't be a problem.

Yup, hardcore is definitely more fun, when there are actual risks attached and no possiblity or temptation for an easy recovery.

Thats kinda the point of the game, atleast to me.

But starting off on casual might not be a bad idea if you want to have some fun and not immediately want to deal with the frustration and difficulty the game can throw at you, as it does that even when you do have some idea of what you're doing.

I have a truck that accepts medium logs and I've loaded about 6 so far and it doesn't even seem half full. Do I need a full load to get my 3 points for the mill or is each log worth points. It takes forever to load in single player hc.

You don't need to get it full, it's a game it would be boring as f*ck.

Just put 3 medium logs or 4 little ones. Make sure the engine of the truck you're loading it's on and you're in ADVANCED when trying to load it.

I loaded 8 medium logs with the crane on a med log cart truck, but when I get to the lumber mill istsays my truck is not carrying a load.
