Sunder? (Spoilers) Dev's please help
This was the original question: "Is there an ending were Sunder don't reject you?"
This is what im changing it to: What is the point of dating Sunder if he is just going to reject you no matter what?

Also, I got the good ending and I loved it :)
The only issue that happened was in fact the bug we talked about earlier, but everything else worked other then that
So there really is a better ending to get with Sunder? 👀 How did you do it?
Be as nice and loving as you can, then when he comes to your home and says "I have some bad news" keep choosing your fantasy over the truth.
You will get a text message the next day as if you got the bad ending but that doesn't matter.

PS: Ask him to go back home with you as many times as you can

I do not consider choosing to believe in a fantasy as a good ending TBH.

Ditto. It’s listening to lies.

I told Sunder I don’t want lies. But also the protagonist has to be willing to listen to the truth when he gives it.
Red flags just look like flags when wearing rose colored glasses.

Sunder is just as Mandy warned. 200 years and he doesn’t have it together.

I really don't like the fact that he rejects you unless you choose to go with a fantasy, I would love it if you could get the good ending a different way that doesn't still make me feel sad.
This broke my heart. I had the feeling, I can choose every answer, every protagonist fell in love with me. But Sunder, the one I was interested in, rejected me. Because I didn't choose fantasy? What is this? This ruined the ending for me.
Also I find around the end of Sunder's story confusing. To get the good ending you have to fantasies that he doesn't brake up with you and he doesn't? Then you two can live happily ever after?
BTW this is just how I got the "good" ending, idk if its the only way you get it but I have to assume so.

Sunder's story definitely sucker punched my heart. But I love Sunder's story because I get it's a romance game and we all want a happy ending; however, it shows that you can't have a successful relationship with everyone and things don't always work out like expected. He is just as Mandy warned from the start of meeting him. And he's not the ideal person to want to be with, unless you blind yourself to the truths or willingly accept his lies.
Sunder lied at one point because he knew you wouldn't like hearing the truth. The truth about Sunder might hurt the protagonist. But if you want the truth you have to see/accept the truth as it is and who Sunder is. Otherwise Sunder is okay with lying to spare your feelings when deep down he still wants space and will act on it.

So Sunder's ending does make me feel sad, but I appreciate it if that makes sense. It's the one different from the others that I can't get over. I don't think it's ruined. But maybe this is all copium. :cindersskull:

I agree with you 99%, but this is a dating/dunj crawler game. I doesn't make sense for one of the datable characters to just be there to brake your heart. He says constantly that the MC is different and special and never says anything about the relationship going wrong, so how does it make sense for him to just suddenly brake up with you. You have the option to say that you only want to be friends many times. so how does it make sense that you can't talk to him about how this went wrong when it is most important. If it didn't have good endings and bad endings I could agree with you fully.
Plus we already have side characters that reject you, but why a main character?

I makes sense that Sunder would reject you this way if you were not loving enough but why is it always the out come unless you want a fake relationship?

I totally get the point that he is special and his personality is something you have to accept. It is this fantasy option which is confusing me.
You have dates with him for so long, you learn about his truth and he tells you he is in love with you. And right at the last date he wants to break up, after you already accepted his character.
And the only option for the relationship is to have it in your fantasy? The game isn't that deep and is still a dating sim. If I want this relationship, I should get it. Or I should have the opporturnity to fix the relationship after he brake up.
I played for hours and just one false option destroyed the fun I had with this game.
It is a bad design decision and when they want us to think about the relationship with him, they should have done it with other story elements.

I agree with this 100% and I wish that this would actually be put in the game.

I'd be pleased as a peach if we could change Sunder and get him to commit to the protagonist. I still appreciate Sunder as he is however, because as much as people like to think sometimes they can change a person and they're as special as they're told, it's a fantasy and not a reality. Especially if he doesn't even want to change. His character is someone who goes through lovers quickly. When he's talking to Mandy, he's going on about that he is unsure and didn't feel an instant connection (whether that's about the MC or his last lover is unsure). He's double edged, you're getting positives the feel-good and inevitably the negative comes.

Mandy even tells you he has an addiction to the control he gets being with innocent partners which MC has never dated until this summer. Mandy is pretty harsh and cynical about him, but she knows him over 100 years and there is some truth as he's proven. Not to mention Mandy is one of Sunder's ex lovers as well.
