how the F do you invite??

how do you invite friends to join a squad in the lobby? it just does not work at all, even through steam invite etc. i know its early access but surely this very basic feature which is already in game should work?

You use the invite system from the main screen, the guy invited will not get a notification though and will have to check the social tab on the main menu. There is no indication of you getting invited until you check that menu manualy atm.

we have figured that is the system you use, but it doesnt work? you dont pair up like you would do in a normal game.

can you do us a favour and make a video of this working? we have tried and tried and its does not work at ALL

I don't have any capture software installed and disabled shadowplay. But here are some screens. When you get an invite the social-icon flashes yellow and you get this popup when you click on it. Just click on the little check-mark to accept (or the cross to abort).

To invite you open up the same menu and click the plus icon next to anyone on your friendlist. If the guy who invited everyone than hits quick join you should all end up not only in the same game, but also in the same squad with the squad leader in the main menu also being the actual squad leader of the group during the round by default.
