World War 3

World War 3

Low FPS (1-4) with i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060 6GB
Anyone else experiencing incredibly low FPS after the first loading screen? As soon as I get to the "Connecting to WW3 servers" page my FPS drops to 4 and remains that way as long as the game is running. Adjusting the settings had no effect. Running at 1080p from a M2 SSD, 16GB RAM. Running on a plugged in gaming laptop, but task manager shows the program as running through the dedicated GPU and not integrated, so I'm at a loss.

Do a clean reinstall of the gpu driver.

I think I have the same laptop as you 😁, after lowering settings to medium it was better, but now I can't relog in

Sadly, a clean reinstall did not fix the issue, at least for me.

Monitor your cpu core usage for each individual core/thread.

First off, thanks for the help! Second, my CPU core usage for the logical processors was about 20-30% for all 8 of them. I could be totally backwards but it seems like relatively low CPU usage per core is a good thing, right?
I have same setup but with an 6700 HQ. Maybe updating your graphic card drivers will do the trick?

Easy solution, get a 1080TI and I7 8700

Its working fine on my old gtx750ti 4gb and i7 9200 with 16gb of ram. medium settings 40-50fps. Update your drivers and set fps limit in game.

Even easier, don't comment

Forgive my ignorance, but beyond the GPU what other drivers are there? And I set an FPS limit in game, but at 4 FPS it didn't have any effect.

What about Sound and motherboard drivers? Up to date?
Are you using GeForce Experience? I don't

I've got GeForce Experience but it doesn't recognize WW3 as a game at this point. I'll check the other drivers, thanks.

Motherdboard, cpu, bios, sound drivers.. check if you have some weird programs running in background.
