Did World in Conflict serve as inspiration to making WW3?

I wonder if WiC was used as an inspiration in developing WW3. if not i see this game as an FPS WiC with A LOT more depth and believe me i find this game more intriguing everytime i hear rumors about it.

you will be amazed by it i can promise you that and like WW3 World in Conflict requires teamwork to ensure victory.

World in Conflict is an excellent game and I absolutely recommend that you play it. It's a shame we have to jump through hoops to get the multiplayer working and even then no one really seems to play it.

you are diff missing out on something, WIC is one of the best modern war games i have ever played, with a fantastic singleplayer story and multiplayer. though multiplayer is dead now i think. sad they never contiued making more games like WIC
