[BUG REPORT] Overzealous + Blessings of the Omnissiah
When using "Overzealous" to trigger the cantation "Blessings of the Omnissiah" the 2CP are consumed as you're casting the cantation and then again after "Blessings of the Omnissiah" has been applied for a total CP cost of 4. This can't be intentional?

I can confirm this bug.

The cohort has 2 cognition points left.
I spend those 2 points to use "Overzealous" in order to cast the canticle "Blessing of the Omnissiah" for free.
But when the cast is done and the points have been added, 2 more cogonition points are consumed afterwards. That does not make sense and is pretty annoying

I think you're just required to have the 2 cp to pay for the skill before you cast it. you pay for all the skills and attacks AFTER the effects including gainCP effects (same with gaining cp as result of killing - the cp for the weapon is reduced later)
weird mechanic, but it's consistent.

Sorry, but this just doesn't make any sense. You're paying twice for the effect. I've raised another bug report with a video of this issue. I'm so irked by this bug you can say I'm kind of overzealous.

I am getting the same bug. Pay 2CP for casting Overzealous, then it fills the CP with the canticle and takes another 2 CP.

Dumb as this is, per the devs this is functioning as intended. Costs are checked at the beginning to see if you're allowed to use an ability, but are only subtracted at the very end.

Even so, Overzealous is one of the most overpowered abilities, and having it cost 4 CP is honestly still undercosted.

I know this is an old post... but... Does anyone else find that if 6 cognition points, and you cast "Blessing of the Omnissiah it gives you the expected 6cp? Then if you try the 9cp version of the canticle you end up with 4? About to get my 7th cp this playthrough so I'm interested to see how that changes.
