Can you complete everything?
Hey everyone, so I just finished Adeptus Mechanicus. I was at like 82% awakening. And I was shocked that the game just ends. I am missing 2 tech priests, 2 troops, several troop upgrades, half the weapons. The only thing I have all of is the Canticles. So I expected there to be some kind of new game+ or that you could keep playing after the credits, but no it just ends. I just wanted to check that I'm not crazy and overlooking something. Was I supposed to be able to complete more missions before the awakening? Are you meant to not be able to complete everything? Just curious.

You don't need to do every mission to fight the final boss. You beat mechanicus congrats.
You're only forced to fight the boss at 100% awakening so it's fine to either do every mission first or charge in early if your cohort can handle it. ususally you won't get every single technology but be missing a decent chunk.

one interesting thing that can make certain techs not show up at all is the hidden mission. there is a hidden mission on a certain menu that can also give technologies, the problem is that because some technologies are locked behind others, and each tech only shows up in one mission ever if the first level of a important tech spawns on the hidden mission and you don't do it then regular missions will never give that tech or techs that require it. for example if curatio claw 1 were to spawn on the hidden mission future missions will never give you curatio claw 2.

Even if you do every mission it's totally possible to not get every tech before the last boss.

They said they had all the canticles, so they probably did do all of the hidden missions; they're kind of an open secret at this point.

Originally the game advanced awakening by 3% per mission regardless of how quickly you did them - so it was a race to the end with no intention of the player collecting everything in a single playthrough.

That minimum was later removed, and it is possible to prevent the awakening gauge from increasing at all in each mission.

Interesting. On most missions I'd finish with my awakening between 4 and 7. I don't know anything about these so called "hidden missions". Could you elaborate? I just chose which mission had the best reward (prioritizing new tech priests). And I lied a little bit, I didn't get the question mark canticle, whatever that is. There were no instructions on how to get it so I had no idea what to do for it.
It seems odd to me that you could do every mission and still not have all of the things, if βumbleδ-626 is correct.
Honestly I am kind of disappointed, I was hoping you'd be able to keep playing after the final boss so you could get all of the things but apparently you can't. If I wanted to get everything I'd have to replay the game and try really hard to get like 1 awakening on each mission, which is too bad.

Press the space bar while on the mission selection screen - it will reveal a hidden tech priest that will give you extra missions from time to time.

You don't need to worry too much about awakening early in the game. Later on you can aim to complete missions with 0 awakening by destroying all of the consoles and finishing battles in a single turn - high level priests with lots of cog generation and area effect weapons.

Finishing a battle in 1 turn?! That sounds nuts XD
I can scarcely think how that is even possible.

Typically priests with a couple of points in Explorator wandering up the board poking the necrons with cognition mechadendrites and gathering blackstone, followed by Tech-Auxiliums throwing out blessings/overzealous and the Dominus range bonuses on heavy phosphor blasters.

With a couple of buffs a single phosphor shot will kill everything within a 180 degree arc out to around 18m and later maps have multiple consoles.

Given enough blackstone the priests become insanely powerful, probably one of the main reasons for the original 3 awakening minimum on missions.

Oh, my bad. In that case, press spacebar in the main mission selection screen on the bridge to find the hidden missions. They culminate in a... unique boss fight, after which you are rewarded the most OP canticle in the game. As others have said (and they and I have done), you can get to the point where you can complete missions with less than 1 percent awakening. With that and probably a little save-scumming in the exploration phase to optimize awakening progression, you can actually do every mission and get everything. Also, there are different endings depending on certain choices; which one did you get?

I got the Magos ending! I didn't realize there were multiple endings until after I completed the game. After watching all of them Magos seems like the best one to me.

Man that sounds like alot of min maxxing XD
Might be too high brow for me.
I just used the pistols that ignore all forms of armor the entire game. And the heally arms. And eventually I gave them power axes as well.

Get the 15m movement canticle, the cogitation mechandrites on every person - pop the canticle via your Tech-Auxilia skill as the first thing in every turn (have others wait) then go to town with cheap weapons. Fun fact, 3 secutors with the radrifle troopers from rank2 onward have a ridiculous amount of actions between them. Add a few flamers for AOE work and every console is hacked+broken and everybody on the map killed before one turn passes. Bosses? Drop minions on top of them until they croak.

Its also possible with Dominus focused guys but in my opinion way to much effort finagling around to get off that perfect angle for good shots. Also the game threw secutor items at me with a distinct lack of solid weapons.
