Have to refund due to tiny text size

I love the setting and game play but I can't read the text without getting a splitting headache. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any work around like decreasing the resolution or editing an .ini file. Decreasing resolution just makes the text blurrier without increasing the size. It's mostly unreadable on my TV and even on my monitor it is far too small to be comfortable. It's too bad because I enjoyed what I played and would really like to finish the game.

Amen to that. It's too late to refund the game for me, I kept hoping against hope they would increase the text size because I really want to play it. Best guess, this isn't on their to-do list of features, and I don't think it will ever be unless it is ported to consoles some day, where those kind of changes need to be made. From that, we would benefit in a UI scale change. For now, this game goes on the back shelf of un-played games I regret purchasing.

I think they just aren't aware this is an issue, go on the discord and talk to a dev there.

We are now aware of this and we plan to release an update to resolve readability issues. Sadly I don't have a date yet to share of when the update will be released but we are working on it. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Same issue, and its not because of bad scaling either - decreasing the monitor resolution does nothing but further blur the text without increasing the font size in any way.

I'm also thinking about refunding, it would be the first game i refund on steam in 14 years...

Is there really no way to change it via some script adaptation? (even if it overlaps with portraits or anything, i'd still do it).

i think it depends on your own preference ? i run 1440 on a 27" no issues with text size for myself personally

I must agree, I rarely use the scale UI feature that some games, but here I need it, text too small for me. Last game I remember I used it was Fallen Enchantress 4x game, which also had menus and text too small, but had 3 different UI sizes. Would be amazing if Heretek included it!
