Modding and awakening rate
Is there any way I can edit the awakening rate via mods or save editing? I wanted to try out the level 3 of all of the cohort units for a perfect run once I finished. I would settle with a simple reduction in my current awakening.

Look for
"overallNecronCountdown":
Change the number to something lower.
Note that many missions unlock at a certain Awakening value, so it's possible to lock all of your missions if you set the value too low.

As for mods, as yet, nobody has figured out how to modify anything useful, even though several of us have decompiled assets and looked through them.

how many missions will I lose if I set it from 90(current) to 75-70?

There's no way to know. Missions tend to unlock at multiples of 10. So long as you don't lower it more than 20 or so points at a time, you should be fine. Plus, if you find that everything's locked, just edit again and add 10 points instead. So long as you never reach 100, you'll never get the permanent lock that forces end-game.

Doing this will screw up the mission history screen (where you click on Faustinius instead of the other mission givers) though, as it will continue adding for each completed mission well off the right side.

Curious, has anyone figured out how to edit health or armour?

Every unit type has a binary asset of its own in resources.assets.
The index is level2 ID 272 (in V1.3.7) or Scenes/Scenes/Config.unity/Config/MechanicusLibrary.

What kind of program are you using to access this file? Notepad++ is what I use and I don't know what I need to do to view this.

Oh. Yikes, too complex for me. I will just play without cheating, then! :cupup:

You can just "cheat" through "Customise Difficulty" when you select "New Game". Doing so will disable achievements, but you can lower enemy hitpoints, raise your own hitpoints, disable the awakening gauge completely or lower how much the gauge increases per turn to make things easier on yourself.

Thank you, Arveragus, but I'm not finding the game too hard yet. It's very enjoyable. I was just curious as to how folks were adjusting hit points via code hacks.

I want to keep the achievements active, so I will not change the difficulty settings in-game that will disable them.
