Kinda like battlefleet gothic armada does with its story cutscenes?
im asking because the trailer for this game really captures the 40K and Mechanicus feel, so it would be amazing.
The Good:
-Game looks great! I know it's an early alpha/demo but still, nice job! I love the effects. Flamer looked nice, the Necron Lord with his map changing powers, that was a nice effect, ect. Cheers!
-Love the little jitter in the move area indication. Makes it look like a projection/hologram/laser on the actual battlefield. Nice.
-Like the fluff, and the FLT like, choose your option thing. I hope there are some entertaining ones there.
-Being a DnD nerd, I like the attack of oportunity mechanic. Keep it in. Tho and indication or some info about how much damage it will do would be nice.
-Speaking of info, information about the enemy would be nice. Like if you could in some way get/scan/research you enemies, and get to know their attacks, stats, move range, attack range ect.
-Also indication of if an attack is on target, or if its blocked or out of range ect would be nice.
The Bad:
-Timed game... ughhh This mechanic is in the top 10 most HATED game mechanics of all time.. and it's up there. Even in legendary games like Fallout, gamers hated it. In fact they hated it so much that they toned it down severely in Fallout 2.. and people still hated it. Either do it very, very well, or just don't.
-Games like this live and die on the unit variety and customization. There wasn't much said, but this is a major thing. Players need to be able to play around with their units and builds of said units.
Well that's it for now. I had much more things to say, but it's an hour long vid... so I forgot most of what I wanted to say xD
Cheers.
