Where can I find the Omnissiah Edition content?
Within the Mechanicus game folder
...\steamapps\common\Mechanicus\OmnissiahEdition

What genre will Mechanicus be?
Turn-based Tactical.

What's a Turn-based Tactical game?
In Mechanicus, each unit takes a turn to use any or all of their actions. Actions can be; moving, shooting, melee attacks, activating abilities, etc.

Once your actions are complete, the next unit in the Initiative queue takes their turn.

What other games will this be similar to?
We’ve crafted something that will be able to stand firmly on it’s own, after analysing the data from many games that we all personally enjoy, we’ve created a system that’s rather unique to TBT titles. We feel we’ve master-crafted something that will make the Omnissiah proud.

Yeah everyone says that!
True. But no one else has a Cognition Points system! ;)

Will the game support MODs?
We've not built Mechanicus for MODs. Therefore there's no way to MOD the game, unless you're a techno-wizard.

What's a Cognition Points system?
Your Tech-Priests gather information from the Necron tombs they're exploring, we call this Cognition Points.

You can use these points to do many different things in Mechanicus from deploying Troops onto the battlefield, to activating your most powerful weapons.

You said "Tech-Priests", what are those? I'm new to Warhammer 40k
They're your main unit within Mechanicus, you can customise them and create entirely unique squads, being able to control each ones actions individually.

Narratively, they're cybernetic religious zealots, always striving to find long lost human technologies long forgotten to time.

Are there only Tech-Priests?
Nope. They’re the focus, that’s for sure, however we have Troop units from the Adeptus Mechanicus table top list.

From the functional yet simple Servitors, to the towering metal monstrosities known as Kastelan Robots.

I'm not a fan of the Mars red robe colours, can I paint my Tech-Priests?
More of a Ryze Orange? Or the clean clinical white Metalica? Feel free to colour up those robes however you want! Go mad make them all pink, you know you want to ;)

There's probably only one colour, right?
Nope! Classic primary and secondary colour systems are being worked on right now!

ok you've hooked me... What else can I customise?
Pictures are a thousand words, we made a video instead https://youtu.be/3Q_2LSmcis0
(so that's thousands of thousands of words?)

Easter eggs?
Certainly! Start hunting!

Console?
There are no plans to bring Mechanicus to console. However, based on its successes, we may re-evaluate and make plans.
20/08/2019 - Great news! Mechanicus is coming to console! We're aiming for Q2 2020.

28/04/2010 - Still great news! Mechanicus on console is still coming. However, due to production delays with the current global situation the release date may shift further back. Once we have something to announce you will hear from us :)

What platforms will Mechanicus be on?
We're guaranteeing Windows / MacOS / Linux support.
There are some complications with Mac and Linux and all details can be found here.

Are there plans for multiplayer?
There are currently no plans for Multiplayer.
Why? We hear you ask... Well Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus has been built from the ground up to be an in depth single player experience with alternative story paths and incredible customisation options. You'll get to immerse yourself into the ways of the Adeptus Mechanicus like never before. Because of this focus on quality we'd have to make a completely different game if it were to have Multiplayer features. We're confident you'll get many many many hours out of Mechanicus.

Can I play as Necrons?
You can find our answer here.

Will there be Microtransations?
Holy Omnissiah NO!

Can I have a Skitarii BBQ?
Sure thing! Friendly fires in the game, and all troops are expendable assets that you, the Magos Dominus, decide how they live or die. This works really well when taunting enemies towards your troops ;)

Question: "The Caestus Metalican" is our base camp simmilar to "Avenger" from Xcom 2 in role? Can it be updated, customized and modified with in game progress?

Great question, as we've not released gameplay yet I can understand people want to try and draw similarities to another game.

Mechanicus is not a direct "like" to any single game, and The Caestus Metallica is a good way of showing that were not XCOM.

To answer directly, this isn't like the Avenger, you don't upgrade it in anyway. It's a Ark Mechanicus class cruiser that the player is able to interact with the units and characters in the game.

It doesn't make it any less of a game, the focus is elsewhere. Mechanicus focuses on an adjustable story based on the choices you make, it focuses a lot more on the units that you control, the customisation of them. Our troops units (servitors, Skitarii and more) are a very unique mechanic to Turn-Based Tactical games of this scale. The resource management is unique in the choices that are made using them. Etc.

--

I only feel it's fair to point out that Mechanicus is not X or Y game, because if you expect X or Y, then when you start playing it doesn't have A, B or C feature that game X has, then that's, in most cases, disappointing. I know I've been there. It's hard to get out of that mindset once your in it, you know.

I'm sure the game will speak for itself once it's out in the wild :)

So, can my tech priest ending up looking like this [www.cold-moon.com] ???

Oh wow, that's maybe too much overkill on the weapons haha.

You know what, you're right!

My greatest of apologies my grand Magos Psycholord , I'll commission the servitors to creat weapon crabs out of our next batch of Tech-Priest recruits
Another questions: Ther arsenal of Mechanicum is open to us? All line of exotic weapons, volkite, arc, graviton ect. including Archaeotech weapons?

We will receive access to the more advance systems with in-game progress?

Can weapons receive modification, upgrades?
Will we be able to link with other techpriests? (Co-op? PVP? Campaign co-op?)

Just so you're aware Mechanicum is 31k, Mechanicus is 40K :)

Volkie, and Ark weapons are available :)

Yes weapons will get so much better the further into the game you go.

The last one is a bit of a spoiler so we'll come back to that later ;)

This is getting better and better, but the two most important question for me,is it turn based? Mac support? Like the last XCom games, Stellaris,

Cogitators confirm both Turn-Based genre and MAC support. Data is extracted from Steam Store page, Magos DIRHEIM.

Mechanicus is not an Xcom-like. Similarities could be drawn, like it's Turn-Based & there's a squad, but that's all :) the rest is fun exciting Mechanicus-ness.
Curious, most Servitors and Skitarius serving the Martian Priesthood were deemed "expendable" by their masters, is this the case in the game? Can I just throw servitors and skitarius to the problem and get killed, and I could expect a same replacement on the next mission?

Oh most certainly!
Why get your well trained Tech-Priests to do the dirty work when lesser lifeforms can do it for you

Are there any bonus or rewards for not getting my Skitarii kill in action? maybe an upgrade to an Alpha Primus?
playing a perfect game definitely should reward us something

Are there any plans to reward us with quality pict-captures worthy of display?

(Are there going to be steam trading cards for badges and backgrounds? Also, will the trading cards when extended feature really nice art? Like the type we might use for a desktop background?

Like this trading card from spacehulk deathwing http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/items/298900/2e64b8f3fbb29610830785ddc1450995680bd64c.jpg )
